Caleb Botting is a Canadian born still life and fashion photographer, exploring themes of memento mori, romanticism, and longing. His work heavily relies on texture, soft light and post production in order to tell these stories. Raised on the traditional art of the renaissance and dutch masters, he failed his illustration admissions portfolio. However, this ended up being the push he needed to recognize his passion for photography. His imagery still makes reference to these old masters, blending these two interests into one.
